Installation 4: Actualizing the Innate Power of Your Typology

In Installation 4, Ken dives into the subject of Types and Drives.  Just like the other elements of the Superhuman OS, this is about one of the fundamental principles of the universe that expresses the diverse spectrum of forms we see all around us.

This is the principle of typologies.

Anywhere you look in the Universe, you can see similarities, in the levels of development (all trees go from start as a seed, to sapling, to tree), or in lines (all humans have cognitive and emotional intelligence), or in states (every person experiences the same waking and sleeping cycles).  But also, anywhere you look you can see polarity and diversity.  This underlying impulse for novelty, diversification and increasing complexity is an essential organizing principle of manifest existence.

This is what we refer to as types.

There are different types of stars, different types of apples, different ethnicities, different types of weather patterns, different types of orchids, different types of personalities, different types of music, and on and on.

What this means, is that you could have two people who are developed to the exact same degree in every capacity, and have access to the same states of consciousness in their spiritual or contemplative practices, but they would still look and behave completely different.

For example, you may have someone who is highly developed interpersonally, but that person will still look different depending on if they are an introvert or an extrovert.  They may have great social skills, but they will still show up very differently based off of one type variation.

In the Superhuman OS, Ken describes the profound influence of typologies and then goes on to explain their fundamental drives. These are the different types of drives that motivate and influence us throughout our life.  And they have huge effects on many of our decisions, whether we are aware of it or not.

Ken explains:

“The real definition of type is that it is a characteristic that a person has and that characteristic, even though it can grow, and develop, and expand, and become more inclusive, and so on… it doesn’t, itself, fundamentally change. If you’re born male, then at the infrared level if you’re male, you’re male. At the next level, magenta, you’re still male. The next level, red, you’re still male, and so on. It’s a characteristic that is generally (without intervention) going to follow you throughout your life. The little footnote on that is that in some models of masculine and feminine, evidence suggests that the higher your growth, your level growth, your altitude, and the more masculine and feminine tend to be integrated individuals.”

This is generally true across the board for humans (ex. if you are in a mesomorphic body, you will always be in a mesomorphic body, etc) and for types in general.  A Granny Smith apple tree will always be a Granny Smith.  Of course, with outside intervention, we can change some of the fundamentals of types.  You can graft Pink Lady apples to a Granny Smith sapling, and change the type of fruit it produces.  But without some sort of intervention, your type is generally not going to change.

This is a profoundly important insight if we truly want to understand ourselves.  If we can learn how to identify and work with our typologies, we can better leverage our strengths, and develop our weaknesses.  If we don’t learn how to do this, we can spend our entire lives fighting against ourselves or wondering why things aren’t working, and not find an approach to our highest potential that works with our unique qualities and capacities.

The better we can understand typologies, the more skillfully we can fine tune our unique approach to self-transformation.  That’s why it’s so important that you learn this directly from Ken.

He goes into greater detail about the influence of types and drives in our lives and how these affect our growth and development.

And that’s what the Superhuman OS is ultimately about.  Becoming more of who you really are.

I hope you’re finding these summaries insightful you’ll simply be blown away by what Ken teaches you in the training.

If you’re ready to embark on the journey of awakening your full potential under the mentorship of Ken, you still have a chance to enroll in the Superhuman OS training at up to 60% off before the final registration closes, this Friday, September 29th.

Here is what Superhuman OS students have said about the Installation 4 Module:

“I wonder what a truly integral ‘self-improvement’ course would then look like? Exactly like this one, perhaps. Laying out the map seems to be the most important thing.”
Kinde N

“What Ken Wilber summarizes in this overview explains succinctly why I loved his books! For years I have struggled with how to integrate Eastern philosophy and Western psychology and mysticism, along with racial and gender equality, etc., etc.!”
Loi E

“The bigger the picture we have about our various dimensions, the better is the map to help our journey. Thanks for enlarging the picture we have about ourselves.”
Mathew Vattamattam

“This training is incredible!!!”
Brian R

“This is so clear and enlightening. Thank you.”
